Here is the best apocalyptic novel that you have probably never heard of or read. This gem would have been easy to miss because it isn’t published by popular authors in the genre. It is definitely worth checking out if you like obscure apocalypse books with original plots. Because most of these are from small publishers, or are self-published, it feels like the authors have more leeway in their writing style and content. Enjoy this read!

Hell Divers is probably the coolest plot of any apocalypse book I have read in 2018. And this book went under the radar for quite some time. Somehow I came across it online and was immediately drawn to the storyline.
After a world apocalypse has left the earth a barren wasteland covered with violent mutants, what’s left of humanity lives on nuclear powered airships. But these don’t stay aloft by themselves.
Hell Divers must drop onto the wasteland of earth’s surface to scavenge for the tools and parts needed to keep the airships aloft.
When one of the airships is damaged, the next mission becomes the most vital one the team of Hell Divers has ever faced.
This is a great new approach to the post apocalyptic book genre and I hope there are sequels to come!
I’d especially be interested in a prequel that documents the collapse of society and the rise of the airship!
