Summer is upon us and we should, in theory, have more time to relax and read by the beach or pool. If you are so lucky, then here is a great science fiction book that you will enjoy. And if you have the time, then it is the start of a great sci-fi series that you can enjoy all summer long.
Casimir Bridge
A manned deep space expedition has gone missing in the middle of an interstellar trip.
An attempted terrorist plot to use nuclear weapons outside of Washington DC is foiled at the clast second.
A large and powerful science and technology firm is on the verge of collapse, brought down by unseen and powerful forces.
What do these events have in common?
A young reporter in South Africa stumbles onto the first clue at unraveling the mystery of the treacherous plot to bring down mankind’s most daring endeavors.
A great sci-fi novel that does a great job of developing characters and doing what most authors fail to do: bring a believable political thriller into a believable science fiction plot.
Usually sci-fi books have basic political plots: aliens invade, earth unites, epic clash with invaders.
Not here, the political undertones go great with the realistic descriptions of the science fiction realm and the plausible political issues that could plague a future planet where space travel becomes an everyday occurrence.
Lots of fun and a great read in what looks like a very promising sci-fi series to come.
