Most Realistic Cyber Attack Novel

Apocalypse fiction is one of the best book genres to gain major traction in the last decade. However, just like the apocalypse movie genre, there are a lot of C and B-rated books out there that are best avoided. Unless you’re into that sort of thing—Sharknado, anyone? If you prefer to read objectively good apocalypse books, then here is the best novel about cyber attacks bringing down the grid!

Cyber Storm

This is a great novel because it is as about as realistic as an apocalypse novel can be. Set in NYC, the main character lives next to a prepper.

Thinking he is a bit strange for prepping in NYC, he later becomes a close ally.

It all starts when the cell towers stop working, then the electric grid goes down. No internet, no lights no communication with the outside world.

Then a bird flu pandemic hits. And then a severe winter storm.

Then the panic starts. Looting and food shortages.

The protagonist and his prepper neighbor must work together to scavenge, fight and survive.

This is a great twist on the tiresome EMP novels, which seem to have saturated the book market recently.

It is a nice change and offers a realistic approach to a real-world dark grid scenario.
